Nepal’s Literacy Rate Reaches 77.4%

In a significant development, the latest Nepal Living Standards Survey 2022/23 has revealed that the country’s literacy rate has surpassed expectations, reaching an impressive 77.4%. This marks a notable increase from the previously reported 76.3% in the National Census 2078.
Gender disparities persist in literacy levels, with men showing a higher literacy rate of 85.8% compared to women at 70.1%. Efforts to bridge this gap and enhance educational opportunities for all are crucial moving forward.
