NEPSE Continues Decline, Closes at 2,037.09 Points

On Sunday, NEPSE witnessed its benchmark index extend losses for the third consecutive session, closing at 2,037.09 points after a drop of 14.83 points.

Among the 246 listed companies, 190 saw declines, while 49 registered gains and seven remained unchanged. Nepal Finance Ltd led the day with a turnover of Rs 128.87 million, followed by Janaki Finance Company Ltd and United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Ltd with turnovers of Rs 119.85 million and Rs 103.98 million, respectively.

While the Finance and Manufacturing & Processing sectors saw slight gains, all other trading groups ended in the red. The Microfinance sector recorded the largest decline at 1.37%, followed by Hydropower and Others at 1.06% and 0.95%, respectively.

The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 3.60 billion from 50,952 transactions, reflecting a cautious trading sentiment amidst broader market downturns.
