NEPSE Dips by 16.82 Points, Closing at 2,006.52
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday declined by 16.82 points to close at 2,006.52 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,023.35 points and hit the day’s high at 2,026.91 points in the first 45 minutes of trading. In the next moment, the index went downhill and reached the day’s low at 2,002.91 points before the last two minutes of the trading time. The market recovered around four points before it closed for the day.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies shed 2.42 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 2.79 billion from Rs 3.06 billion on Sunday.
All the 13 trading groups had their indices decline. Manufacturing and processing lost the highest of 107.07 points.
Among individual companies, 52 were recorded as gainers whereas 184 were the losers.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 177.36 million. Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser, while Machhapuchchhre Debenture 2087 gained the highest of 7.09 percent of its market price.
