NEPSE Plunges Below 2000 Points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a significant downturn, with the market plummeting to 1991.71 points on Tuesday.
This double-digit decline sent shockwaves through investors as both the sensitive index and the float index, indicative of ‘A’ class company transactions, also registered losses.

All subgroups within NEPSE felt the impact of the downturn, with hydropower, microfinance, and other sectors experiencing declines of over one percent. Meanwhile, other subgroups saw more modest decreases of less than one percent.
Despite the overall market downturn, investors in SBL Debenture 2089 and Gorkha Finance saw gains, with the value of these companies increasing by more than 9.96 percent. However, Ruru Hydropower experienced a negative circuit, while Pokhara Finance, CYC Nepal Microfinance, and Dolti Power Company witnessed share price decreases ranging from 5.60 percent to 6.74 percent.
