NEPSE Records Slight Decline, Closes at 2,079.07 Points

Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a marginal setback, ending the trading day with a 0.19 percent decrease or 3.97 points, culminating at 2,079.07 points by the closing bell. This followed a previous session’s modest uptick of 13.51 points.

Commencing the day’s proceedings at 2,087.8 points, NEPSE experienced a fleeting surge, reaching an intraday peak of 2,096.57. However, market dynamics led to a downward trend, with the index sliding to 2,073.02 points before settling at 2,079.07 points.

The day’s trading activity was marked by the exchange of 316 stocks across 59,295 transactions. Notably, the total traded shares amounted to 8,820,125, generating a robust turnover of Rs. 4 billion.

Despite today’s minor setback, market observers remain optimistic, with a keen eye on evolving trends and developments in the financial landscape.
