New Ministers Sworn into Office in Koshi Province

The newly appointed ministers of Koshi province were sworn into office on Friday. Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki recently expanded the provincial cabinet to include ten members, enhancing representation from key political parties.

The cabinet now comprises six members from the CPN-UML, including Chief Minister Karki, and four from the CPN-Maoist Center. The newly appointed ministers are as follows:

Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning: Ram Bahadur Magar (Ilam)
Ministry of Social Development: Panchakarna Rai (Khotang)
Ministry of Energy, Irrigation, and Water Supply: Ekraj Karki (Jhapa)
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law: Lilaballav Adhikari (Morang)
State Minister: Sirjana Rai (Bhojpur)

CPN-Maoist Center Members:

Ministry of Health: Rajendra Kumar Karki (Sankhuwasabha)
Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development: Ganesh Prasad Upreti (Morang)
Ministry of Tourism, Forest, and Environment: Narayan Bahadur Burja (Udaypur)
State Minister: Bandana Jhangad (Jhapa)
