New Parliamentary Committee Presidents Sworn in

Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected presidents of two parliamentary committees today.

Ishwari Devi Neupane from the Nepali Congress was sworn in as the President of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, while Thakur Prasad Gaire from UML took the oath as the President of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies, and Obligations of the State Committee.

The ceremony was attended by National Assembly (NA) Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ajaya Kumar Chaurasiya, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, NA Vice Chair Bimala Ghimire, and the chief whips of NC and UML, among other dignitaries.
