NPC Approves Government’s Annual Development Program and Expenditure Framework
A full meeting of the National Planning Commission has approved the government’s annual development programme and three-year medium-term expenditure framework.
The full meeting passed both documents to be tabled in parliament along with the budget in the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
The annual development programme is to be tabled in parliament along with the budget. Financial discipline will be maintained, appropriation efficiency will be fully followed, and budget allocations will be made according to the spending capacity of organizations in the budget, according to Prime Minister Dahal’s Private Secretariat.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said he had directed to make a people-oriented budget, and Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has prepared the budget in accordance with it.
Finance Minister Pun, NPC Vice-Chair Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, and members and the member-secretary were present in the meeting.
