Oli to Lead National Consensus Government: UML General Secretary

CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel confirmed that an accord has been reached between CPN-UML and Nepali Congress to establish a national consensus government.

The announcement outlines that the government will be helmed by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, aimed at implementing crucial constitutional amendments for sustained political stability and legislative reforms.

“An agreement has been forged between CPN-UML and Nepali Congress to form a national consensus government under the leadership of KP Sharma Oli, focusing on constitutional amendments and aligned legislative measures,” stated General Secretary Pokharel in a social media post.

He further indicated that parties subscribing to this initiative will be integrated into the national governance framework.

Earlier today, the nation’s two leading political entities, Congress and UML, finalized discussions, including the leadership of the prospective government, following extensive internal deliberations.
