Opportunism Flourished in the Communist Party: Jhalanath Khanal
Jhalanath Khanal, a respected leader of the Unified Socialist Party, has pointed out the burgeoning presence of right-wing opportunism within the Communist Party, sparking fervent discussions within Nepal’s political sphere.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Unified Socialist Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Committee, Khanal minced no words in highlighting the necessity of a steadfast commitment to socialist principles within communist ranks. He underscored that the very essence of communist ideology hinges on the pursuit of socialism, lamenting any deviation from this foundational principle.
Khanal’s address didn’t merely criticize but also advocated for a renewed focus on socialist ideals, branding them as indispensable for the holistic development of the nation. He passionately argued that a socialist revolution is not just desirable but imperative in the current socio-political landscape, urging all political factions to prioritize this ideological paradigm.
Central to Khanal’s message was the belief that socialism holds the key to addressing the myriad challenges faced by ordinary Nepali citizens. He called upon all tiers of government in the federal structure to actively implement socialist policies, thereby ensuring equitable access to essential services and fostering inclusive growth.
