Parliamentary delegation off to New York

A parliamentary team has left here today for New York, the USA, to participate in the high-level political forum to be held there.
The four-member delegation led by Prakash Panth, President of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, National Assembly, will be attending a meeting of the High Level Forum on Sustainable Development. The meeting aims to determine agenda for the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit 2023.
The Summit will be held in the UN Headquarters on September 18-19.
CPN (UML) whip Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Madhav Sapkota and Parliament Secretariat Secretary Dr Rojnath Pandey are in the delegation. The Forum’s discussions will be held from June 9-19.
