Parliament’s Secretary-General Pandey administered oath of office and secrecy

Newly appointed Secretary-General of Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey, has taken an oath of office and secrecy today.

Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire administered the oath to Pandey at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

Present on the occasion were National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung, House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Indira Rana and NA Vice-Chairperson Urmila Aryal among others.

President Ramchandra Paudel on last Tuesday had appointed Pandey to the post at the joint recommendation of Speaker of HoR and NA Chairperson.
