Petrol down by Rs 3/L, Diesel and Kerosene Reduced by Re 1/L

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective from Sunday. According to the decision made by the NOC Board of Directors, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs 3 per litre, while diesel and kerosene prices have been lowered by Re 1 per litre.

As per the latest rates issued by the NOC, the new price of petrol per litre stands at Rs 162.5 in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. In Surkhet and Dang districts, petrol will be available at Rs 164 per litre, while consumers in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal will pay Rs 165 per litre.

Similarly, the revised prices for diesel and kerosene are Rs 149.5 per litre in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, and Rs 151 per litre in Surkhet and Dang. In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, both diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 152 per litre.

The Nepal Oil Corporation, a state-owned enterprise responsible for the import, storage, and distribution of petroleum products in the country, aims to provide relief to consumers amidst fluctuating global oil prices. This adjustment follows a meeting of the NOC Board of Directors, which evaluated current market conditions and international price trends before making the decision.
