Pharmacists Mandated to Wear White Aprons from December 19
Starting December 19, pharmacists and pharmacy assistants in Nepal will be required to wear white aprons with name tags while dispensing medicines. The Nepal Pharmacy Council announced the mandatory dress code for professionals working in community pharmacies and hospital pharmacies through an official notice.
Council Registrar Sanjeev Kumar Pandey emphasized that strict monitoring would ensure compliance with the regulation. “The Council shall regularly monitor whether the dress code is followed or not. In case of violation, the process of taking action against the violators will be forwarded as per the Council Regulation, 2059 BS,” Pandey stated.
This new measure aims to standardize professional attire and ensure accountability in the pharmaceutical sector. Pharmacists found disregarding this code of conduct will face penalties under the Council’s provisions.
