PM Appoints Prof. Dr. Khadga KC as Rector and Dr. Kedar Rijal as Registrar at TU

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also serving as the Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, has finalized the appointments of Prof. Dr. Khadga KC and Dr. Kedar Rijal to the esteemed positions of Rector and Registrar, respectively. The appointments come after a two-week wait, during which PM Dahal scrutinized the recommendations put forth by Vice-Chancellor Professor Keshar Jung Baral.

The process commenced with Vice-Chancellor Baral recommending the candidates for the positions on March 28, in accordance with the mandates outlined in the Tribhuvan University Act. However, Prime Minister Dahal sought a reconsideration of the nominations upon receiving them, causing a brief delay in the appointment process.

Following persistent efforts and insistence from Vice-Chancellor Baral, Chancellor Dahal ultimately affirmed the appointments, reinstating the original recommendations made by the university’s leadership.
