PM Dahal Calls for Unity Among Leftists and Democrats for Nation’s Prosperity

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the need for all leftists and democratic forces to unite for the greater good of the country and its citizens. Addressing the 10th national convention of the CPN (Unified Socialist) on Sunday, PM Dahal extended his best wishes to the party, urging them to strategize for expanding their organization and force while evaluating the socialist revolution in real-time.

PM Dahal reminisced about past efforts to unify the CPN (Unified Socialist) and his party, the CPN (Maoist Centre), when they were allied. He expressed confidence that the national convention would adopt new and revised ideologies for the party. Additionally, he highlighted the need to adapt Marxist ideology to meet the country’s current needs.

The convention, attended by 1,849 representatives, will span five days and conclude with the election of a 299-member working committee and 21 office-bearers.

In a different context, PM Dahal addressed ongoing efforts related to corruption investigations. He refuted the notion that “nothing significant has happened yet,” asserting his commitment to the nation’s prosperity and a forward-looking approach.
