
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Honours Sandeep Lamichhane


In a ceremony held today, Bharatpur Metropolitan City bestowed a prestigious honor upon Sandeep Lamichhane, former captain of the National Cricket Team. Lamichhane was felicitated with a cash award of Rs 100,000 in recognition of his contributions to cricket.
The event, graced by Mayor Renu Dahal and Deputy-Mayor Chitra Sen Adhikari, highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting athletes. Mayor Dahal expressed optimism that such recognitions would inspire more sports enthusiasts, affirming the city’s prioritization of honoring athletes.
Mayor Dahal also underscored the city’s ongoing efforts in the sports sector, including the development of stadiums, aiming to foster a conducive environment for sporting excellence.
Sudip Piya, Chairperson of the District Cricket Association, commended Bharatpur Metropolitan City for its pivotal role in advancing the local sports landscape.
