PM Dahal Denounces Oli’s Allegation of Falgun 1 as a Day of Violence

In a recent interview with journalist Rishi Dhamala, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has strongly refuted the claims made by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli regarding Falgun 1 being labeled as a “day of violence.” Prachanda called Oli’s statement a fabrication and provided insight into the historical significance of the date.

Prachanda clarified that the decision to commemorate Falgun 1 as “People’s War Day” was made jointly with the consent of KP Sharma Oli, shedding light on the historical significance of the date. He went on to assert that the peace process, the peace agreement, and the establishment of a republic in Nepal were all outcomes of the people’s war. This commentary is seen as a direct response to Oli’s divisive statements regarding the significance of the date.

During the interview, Prachanda also expressed pride in his ability to maintain a balanced approach in international relations. Despite facing various challenges, he stated that he successfully completed official visits to India, the United States, and China while serving as the Prime Minister.

Furthermore, Prachanda highlighted the recent visit of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Nepal, describing it as a “complete success.”
