PM Dahal Seeks Vote of Confidence Amidst Opposition Disruptions

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is seeking a vote of confidence amidst opposition from parties including the main opposition, Nepali Congress.

During the meeting of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister requested a vote of confidence from the rostrum while the Nepali Congress and other opposition parties surrounded the well and chanted slogans.

The opposition parties disrupted the meeting, demanding a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.
