PM KP Sharma Oli Urges Full Protection of Nepal Children’s Organisation Properties

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the need for strict protection and effective utilization of land and properties registered under the Nepal Children’s Organisation (Bal Mandir). In a meeting with the Organisation’s officials held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, the Prime Minister urged decisive action to safeguard all assets, including land and buildings owned by the Organisation across the country.

Prime Minister Oli insisted that no attempts to grab, encroach, or misuse the Organisation’s properties should be tolerated. He asserted that any land currently under unauthorized control must be reclaimed and restored to the Organisation.

The meeting was attended by newly appointed Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal and Secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Phanindra Gautam.

Additionally, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring that the children under the Organisation’s care receive proper attention and facilities.

During the meeting, Organisation President Bidhya Neupane requested the government’s full support in obtaining a revised and official statute that would grant the Organisation special recognition, protect its assets, and address issues faced by the children, particularly in acquiring birth registrations and citizenships.

Currently, around 300 children are under the protection of the Nepal Children’s Organisation.
