PM Prachanda Embarks on Chengdu Visit as Part of His China Tour
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who has been on an official visit to China since September 23, is set to continue his trip by departing from Mansarovar in China’s Tibet to Chengdu today.
The Prime Minister’s journey will commence with a flight from Ngari Gunsa Airport at Mansarovar to Lhasa Airport at 9:45 am local time. From Lhasa, he will board another flight destined for Chengdu, with an expected arrival at 2:30 pm local time this afternoon.
During his time in Chengdu, the Prime Minister has a planned visit to the Panda Breeding Centre on his agenda.
Later in the evening, PM Prachanda will meet with Wang Xiaohui, the Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Sichuan Province Committee. An official dinner reception will also be hosted by Secretary Wang in honor of PM Dahal.
PM Prachanda’s visit to China has included several significant engagements. After arriving in Lhasa from Chongqing city, he made a pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake. Additionally, he conducted bilateral meetings with various leaders in Lhasa and explored cultural sites such as the Potala Palace.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home from Chengdu on Saturday, concluding his official visit to China. His visit marks a further strengthening of diplomatic ties and cooperation between Nepal and China.
