PM Prachanda expresses determination to resolve problems in health sector
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed determination to resolve problems seen in the health sector soon.
At a programme organised by the Ministry of Health and Population on the occasion of World Mental Health Day and White Coat Day, Prime Minister Prachanda stressed that solutions to the problems seen in the health sector would be found immediately with the collaboration of the respective ministries.
“I have taken a determination to resolve the problems of health sectors. Activities will be carried out collaborating with the Health Ministry and Ministry for Education, Science and Technology for the same”, he mentioned.
Wishing good health and long life to all the citizens on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, PM Prachanda mentioned that efforts are underway to expand mental health services.
“I have been constantly encouraging the health minister to forward new plans and programmes regarding the matter of development of the health sector and providing health facilities to the people”, he stressed.
Similarly, Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, shared that the government has been taking initiatives to provide quality treatment to the access of all by facing the increasing challenge of mental illness.
He expressed commitment to creating quotas of employees working in the health sector, managing health equipment and improving service at government hospitals within the next six months.
On the occasion, various doctors, health workers, provincial hospitals, local levels, and NGOs were honoured for their significant contribution to the improvement of the overall health sector including mental health.
