CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel expressed concerns over the prevailing instability and chaos in Nepalese politics, emphasizing its adverse impact on the development and prosperity of the country. In a social media post on Wednesday, General Secretary Pokharel underlined the urgent need to address this serious challenge.
According to Pokharel, the CPN-UML took decisive action to counter the political instability by offering a vote of confidence to the Madhes government. He called upon other political parties to play a constructive role in preventing similar turmoil in other provinces.
The government of the Madhes province, led by the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), recently obtained a vote of confidence from the opposition party CPN-UML. This move by CPN-UML aimed to combat political instability, and General Secretary Pokharel expressed his expectations for other parties to follow suit in order to maintain stability in the remaining provinces.
Meanwhile, in the Koshi province, the UML-led government finds itself in the minority. It is being said that in an effort to safeguard the Koshi government, CPN-UML extended a vote of confidence to the JSP-led government in Madhes.
