Price of Fuel Increased in Nepal

Nepal Oil Corporation has announced an increase in the price of fuel, which will take effect from midnight. The price of petrol has been raised by two rupees per litre, while diesel and kerosene have been increased by three rupees per litre.

Following this adjustment, petrol will now cost 162 rupees and 50 paisa per litre in the first category of locations, 164 rupees per litre in the second category, and 165 rupees per litre in the third category. Similarly, diesel and kerosene will cost 153 rupees and 50 paisa per litre in the first category, 155 rupees per litre in the second category, and 156 rupees per litre in the third category.

The state-owned corporation has classified fuel depots into three categories based on their location. The first category includes depots in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The second category includes Surkhet and Dang, while the third category comprises depots in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal. This classification determines the pricing structure across the country.
