Prime Minister Dahal to Attend Modi’s Oath-Taking Ceremony in New Delhi

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is set to visit New Delhi to attend the oath-taking ceremony of BJP leader Narendra Modi, who is poised to become the Prime Minister of India for a third consecutive term.

Modi’s appointment as Prime Minister is virtually assured following the recent Lok Sabha election results. In preparation for this, Prime Minister Dahal is making arrangements to be present at the oath-taking ceremony.

A reliable source stated, “Modi has invited him to the oath-taking ceremony. However, the exact date of departure is yet to be determined.”

After the election results were announced, Modi resigned on Wednesday, dissolving the Council of Ministers. He is now in the process of forming a new Council of Ministers. On the same day, a coalition meeting unanimously elected Modi as their leader and decided to propose him for the Prime Minister’s position for the third term.

The date for his appointment and the subsequent oath-taking ceremony by the President is yet to be finalized. According to Indian media, the ceremony is likely to take place on June 8.

As soon as the date for Modi’s oath-taking ceremony is confirmed, Prime Minister Dahal will depart for New Delhi. Coordination is ongoing with the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to finalize the details, the source added.

Following the BJP coalition’s victory in the Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Dahal called Modi to congratulate him. During their conversation, Modi extended an invitation to Dahal to attend the ceremony. Shortly thereafter, Modi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Dahal on the social media platform X.
