Prime Minister Pays Tribute to Late Subas Nembang

In a solemn tribute, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ paid his respects to the late Former Speaker and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Subas Chandra Nembang, who was also the vice-chair of the CPN-UML party.

Prime Minister Prachanda visited the CPN-UML party office located in Chyasal, Lalitpur, on Tuesday afternoon to pay his respects to Nembang, who had played a significant role in Nepal’s political landscape.

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli, President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of CPN Unified Socialist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party, Baburam Bhattarai, and various other political leaders also joined in paying their respects at Chyasal.

Sadly, Nembang, a resident of Baluwatar, suffered a heart attack at 1 am on Tuesday. He was immediately rushed to Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

Despite efforts to save him, Nembang, who had served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Constituent Assembly Chairman/Speaker at various points in his political career, succumbed to the heart attack at 1:40 am while receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.

Subas Chandra Nembang, who had been a prominent figure in Nepal’s political history, was 71 years old at the time of his passing. His contributions to the nation will be remembered by many.
