Prime Minister Prachanda Secures Fourth Vote of Confidence in HoR
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has clinched yet another vote of confidence from the House of Representatives (HoR), marking his fourth affirmation since assuming office.
During the parliamentary session today, a resounding majority of 157 out of 158 HoR members in attendance unequivocally backed the proposal for a vote of confidence presented by PM Prachanda himself.
Notably, there was one HoR member who opted for neutrality, while no votes were cast against the proposal, underscoring the robust support garnered by the incumbent government.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire formally declared PM Prachanda’s triumph in securing the confidence of the majority of HoR members, affirming the stability of his administration.
CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Prachanda, who ascended to the role of Prime Minister on December 25, 2022, has demonstrated his adeptness in navigating the intricate political landscape of Nepal, securing successive votes of confidence with commendable margins.
This latest endorsement adds to PM Prachanda’s track record of parliamentary victories, following his initial vote of confidence on January 10, where he secured over 99 per cent of the vote, and subsequent affirmations on March 20 and beyond, solidifying his mandate to lead the nation forward.
