Prime Minister Prachanda to Embark on Official Visit to Italy from 23rd July
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Italy, following the decision made during a cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. The visit, approved by the cabinet, aims to participate in the United Nations Food System 2023 Stocking Moment at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Italy.
Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, shared the details with the media after the cabinet meeting. Prime Minister Prachanda will lead the delegation, which includes Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Beduram Bhusal.
The primary purpose of the visit is to attend the United Nations Food System 2023 Stocking Moment, a significant event focused on addressing global food systems and sustainable agriculture. As an active participant in the international community, Prime Minister Prachanda’s presence at this event highlights Nepal’s commitment to addressing food security challenges and promoting sustainable practices.
In addition to the visit’s key agenda, the cabinet meeting also addressed domestic matters. It was decided to provide discounts on fees and charges associated with increasing a company’s registered capital. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supply proposed the exemption and amendment of fees and duties related to increasing the registered capital, which will be notified accordingly.
Furthermore, the meeting approved the appointment of Dr. Ravi Malla, who is currently engaged in related work, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Shahid Gangalal Rastriya Hriday Kendra. The Ministry of Health and Population proposed Dr. Malla’s appointment to strengthen the expertise and capabilities within the center.
Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to Italy not only signifies Nepal’s active participation in global initiatives but also represents an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors. The visit is expected to contribute to Nepal’s continued engagement with the international community and foster mutual understanding and collaboration.
