Python Rescued from Sugarcane Field in Belauri Municipality
A python weighing 35 kilograms and measuring 13 feet in length was rescued from a sugarcane field in Belauri Municipality-7 on Monday evening. The rescue was conducted by local authorities, and the snake was safely released into the nearby Singha Pal Community Forest.
Pabiram Tharu, the Chairman of a local community forest, reported that the python had likely ventured close to human settlement in search of prey. He also noted that the number of wild animals and reptiles in the area has increased due to ongoing conservation efforts in local forests and wetlands.
Kaman Singh Chaudhari, a ward member from Belauri-3, confirmed the details of the rescue and the successful relocation of the python. The incident highlights the growing presence of wildlife in the region, which has been positively impacted by recent environmental conservation initiatives.
