RPP Chair Urges Reconsideration of Tax Increase on Electric Vehicles

Rajendra Lingden, Chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has called on Finance Minister Barshaman Pun to rethink the proposed tax hike on electric vehicles.

During the budget deliberation in the House of Representatives, Lingden expressed concern that the tax increase contradicts the government’s earlier environmental commitments.

He emphasized the need to align policies with environmental goals and urged Minister Pun to withdraw the tax hike from the budget.
