RSP Mandates Vote of Confidence for PM Dahal: Issues Whip to MPs
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has issued a decisive whip to its lawmakers, mandating their support for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the imminent confidence vote scheduled for Wednesday.
The directive was solidified during a pivotal meeting convened at the RSP’s Parliamentary party office located in Singha Durbar. Representatives convened to deliberate extensively on the forthcoming vote of confidence, reaching a unified stance to throw their weight behind PM Dahal.
In addition to instructing lawmakers to throw their support behind the Prime Minister, the RSP has emphasized the obligatory attendance of its members at Wednesday’s crucial parliamentary session, signaling a unified front in their backing of PM Dahal.
With a substantial presence in Parliament, the RSP commands a total of 21 Members of Parliament, a considerable force that could significantly sway the outcome of the impending confidence vote. Furthermore, it’s notable that four prominent leaders of the RSP, including its Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, currently hold ministerial portfolios within the incumbent government.
