RSP Stays in Government Unless PM Dahal Resigns

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced its decision to remain in the government unless Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal steps down.

With the CPN-UML, the main coalition partner of the Dahal-led government, aligning with the Nepali Congress to form a new administration, the current government is nearing collapse. Ministers from the UML are scheduled to resign today.

“The ministers of RSP will not resign until PM Dahal steps down,” stated a party leader, emphasizing that the RSP is not participating in forming a new government.

Meanwhile, PM Dahal has no intention of resigning any time soon, according to his secretariat. A member of PM Dahal’s team mentioned that the Prime Minister will decide within 30 days whether to resign or seek a vote of confidence, but only after coalition members officially withdraw their support.
