Senior Officer Alleges Mistreatment by Mayor Balen

Sasmita Ghimire, the eighth level senior legal officer at Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has come forward with serious allegations against Mayor Balen Shah. Ghimire has accused Mayor Shah of subjecting her to unjustified mistreatment, ultimately relieving her of her duties without valid cause. She has vowed to pursue legal recourse to address these grievances.

According to Ghimire, her dismissal from responsibilities under Mayor Shah’s administration was unwarranted and devoid of any rational explanation. Furthermore, she highlighted instances of alleged mistreatment, including being denied basic office amenities such as a chair to sit on.

The controversy erupted when Ghimire took to Facebook on Wednesday to voice her concerns. In her social media post, she not only shed light on her own ordeal but also raised issues regarding irregular expenditure on contract employees. She complained that money is being spent irregularly on contract employees, thereby undermining the responsibility of national service employees who had passed the public service examination. Additionally, Ghimire revealed her personal battle as a cancer survivor.
