Seven Sections of National Highway Blocked by Landslides, 244 Road Sections Operational for One-Way Traffic

Landslides have blocked seven sections of the national highway across Nepal, while 244 road sections are currently open for one-way traffic, according to data released by the Department of Roads today.

Among the affected routes is the NH09 section of the Madan Bhandari Highway in Pyuthan. The Bhaluwang-Liwang-Rolpa-Madichour-Darbot section in Garjeni, along with the Chatara-Mulghat-Majhitar-Amapu Danda-Ganeshchowk Highway in Morang, has also been completely blocked, particularly the stretch from Chatara Bridge to Barahkshetra.

In addition, the Galje section of the Dhungeshwar-Manma-Nagma-Jumla Highway in Kalikot is entirely blocked. The Yalambar road section in Panchthar on the Pushpalal Mid-hill Highway has also been affected, leading to a complete halt in traffic.

Further disruptions have occurred on the Tansen-Ridi-Korala Highway near Achcheswar Cave in Gulmi and the Chorkhola road section in Salyan on the Rapti Highway, both of which are entirely blocked due to landslides.

Authorities are working to clear the debris and restore full traffic flow as soon as possible, but the current situation is causing significant delays and disruptions in transportation across the affected regions.
