Shridhar Khatri, Nepali Ambassador to America, Returns Home

Shridhar Khatri, the Nepali ambassador to America, has returned home.

Following the government’s recall of ambassadors from 11 countries, including the US and India, Khatri departed for Nepal from the US on Wednesday. Deputy head of the embassy Kumar Raj Kharel and other staff saw him off at the airport.

“The embassy family is grateful to Ambassador Khatri for his skillful leadership and service to the nation during his tenure,” the embassy stated. Khatri assumed the ambassadorial role on March 12, 2022.

The government has proposed Chandra Kumar Ghimire as the new ambassador to America.
