Significant Progress in Mugu Killings Investigation, Police Reports

Mugu, October 29: Authorities are reporting substantial headway in the investigation into the tragic killings of a mother and her three children in Mugu. The victims, identified as Sridevi Bohara, aged 28, along with her 11-year-old son Manoj, 8-year-old daughter Apsara, and 8-month-old son Rahar, were found dead in their Mandu village home in Chhayanath Rara Municipality-6 a few days ago.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa at the district police office, the investigative team has made significant progress in gathering evidence related to the crime. “We are currently focused on collecting evidence and interrogating potential suspects, and as soon as we conclude our investigation, we will communicate the findings to the media,” he stated. The investigation is being conducted from all possible angles to ensure a thorough examination of the case.

The bodies of the victims have been transferred to the District Hospital in Mugu for post-mortem examinations, a critical step in the investigation process.

The family was discovered with fatal stab wounds inside their residence on October 26, with indications suggesting the incident took place during the night of October 27. Deepak Bohora, the spouse of Sridevi, returned home today from his overseas employment in Qatar.

To aid in the investigation, the Nepal Police have deployed a special team, supported by a sniffer dog, to ensure a comprehensive and thorough examination of the case.
