Six girls were rescued from a guest house in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, by the Anti-Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police last night. The rescue operation was conducted following a tipoff.
Gautam Mishra, spokesperson for the Bureau, reported that the girls were rescued from Ramechhap Guest House, which is operated by Nabin Thapa.
Thapa, hailing from Ramechhap district, is accused of engaging the girls in anti-social activities under the false promise of financial gains.
In connection with the alleged illegal activities, police have also detained Thapa and Ujjawal Khadka of Kageshwori Manohara, Kathmandu.
