Socialist Front Names Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ as Coordinator

The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), a coalition of five left-leaning political parties, has appointed Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ as its coordinator. The decision came during a morning meeting of the Front.

Leaders from the Maoist Centre, Janata Samajwadi Party, Unified Socialist, and the Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav were present during the decision-making process.

This appointment marks a change in leadership from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, who previously led the Front. The member parties had previously agreed to rotate the leadership position, leading to the selection of Biplav for the role.
