SSP Yog Bahadur Pal suspended

The Ministry of Home Affairs has taken action in response to a grave allegation of sexual abuse within the law enforcement ranks.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yog Bahadur Pal has been suspended following a thorough investigation that substantiated the accusations made by a female assistant head constable.
The incident came to light on June 2, when the policewoman bravely filed a complaint against Pal, alleging sexual abuse.
On Thursday, the Police Headquarters submitted a recommendation to the Ministry for the suspension of SSP Pal. Recognizing the gravity of the allegations, the Home Ministry promptly initiated an investigation to ascertain the veracity of the claims.
