Sudurpaschim Province Chief Calls for Stake in New Chief Minister Following Resignation
03rd Aug 2024
Chief of Sudurpaschim Province, Nazir Minya, has called on political parties represented in the Province Assembly to stake a claim for the position of Chief Minister.
A statement issued by the Provincial Chief’s office spokesperson on Friday detailed that parties have been summoned to submit their claims for the new Chief Minister by 5:00 pm this coming Sunday.
This call for a new leadership comes following the resignation of Chief Minister Dirgha Bahadur Sodari earlier on Friday. In a Province Assembly meeting, Chief Minister Sodari announced his resignation, citing the need to pave the way for the formation of a new government in light of the changed political context.
