Sudurpashchim Province Minister Passes Away in Tragic Road Mishap

In a devastating jeep accident that took place in Bajhang, Sudurpashchim Province, Internal Affairs and Law Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh has sadly passed away. This unfortunate incident also claimed the lives of two other individuals. Minister Singh’s wife, Amrita Singh, and his sister-in-law, Jayadevi Singh, who were injured in the same accident, succumbed to their injuries earlier in Bajhang.

Following the accident, Minister Singh was urgently airlifted from Bajhang to Nepalgunj for medical treatment.

Singh, who was injured in the accident died at Kohalpur Medical College during treatment, Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Kuber Kadayat confirmed.

Accompanying him were the driver of the vehicle, Dharmaraj Joshi, and his Personal Security Officer (PSO), Assistant Police Constable Deepak Bhandari, who are currently receiving medical care in Nepalgunj.

The incident occurred in the Kedarsyun Rural Municipality’s Dharchhada area, when their vehicle veered off the road and plunged approximately 50 meters down to the Kalanga river bank.

The ill-fated jeep, bearing the registration number Su.Pa. Pra. 01001 Jha 480, was en route from Dadeldhura to Chainpur when the tragedy occurred.
