Swayambhu Tragedy: Wife and Children Brutally Murdered, Husband Found Dead
The bodies of three individuals were discovered in Swayambhu, prompting authorities to launch a murder investigation. The victims have been identified as 39-year-old Ishwari Shrestha, her 8-year-old daughter Anisha Shrestha, and her 2-year-old daughter Shivani Shrestha, all originally from Okhaldhunga district.
A team comprising personnel from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, and the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has been dispatched to the scene in Nagarjun Municipality-6. Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi, spokesperson for the Crime Investigation Office, confirmed that evidence strongly suggests the trio met a violent end, likely at the hands of assailants wielding homemade weapons.
Initially, suspicion fell upon Ishwari’s husband, Raju Ghimire, as a possible suspect. However, authorities later discovered Ghimire’s body hanging in a forest near Sitapaila. Further investigation revealed that Ishwari was Ghimire’s wife, Anisha his daughter, and Shivani his nephew’s daughter.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear, but law enforcement officials are diligently working to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident.
