Swedish Ministry Denies Rumors: Sex Not Recognized as a Sport!
The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, which holds responsibility for Swedish sports, has unequivocally stated that sex is not recognized as a sport. Following the dissemination of this news through various media outlets, the Ministry clarified that Sweden does not acknowledge any such activity as a sport, thereby refuting the accuracy of the reported information.
The official response from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs was published by Nepal Fact Check. Karolina Frani, the head of communication at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, who also oversees sports in Sweden, explicitly affirmed that sex is not considered a sport within the country.
In a letter addressed to Fact Check, it was explicitly stated, “This information is false. Sex is not recognized as a sport in Sweden, and no organization related to the Swedish Sports Federation is affiliated with it. Although an organization called the Swedish Sex Federation applied for membership in the federation recently, it was rejected due to its failure to meet the requirements set for sports federations. The website you mentioned (swedishsexfederation.com) is not associated with any official Swedish federation, and there are no officially recognized competitions in Sweden related to this matter.”
