Tapas Adhikari Presents Credentials to Turkish President as Nepal’s Non-Resident Ambassador
In a dignified ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Tapas Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, presented his Letters of Credence to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of Türkiye.
During the event, Ambassador Adhikari conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes from the President Ram Chandra Poudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, and the people of Nepal, wishing President Erdoğan good health and happiness, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Türkiye.
President Erdoğan reciprocated by welcoming Ambassador Adhikari and congratulated him on his new role. He extended his greetings and best wishes for the health and prosperity of the President and Prime Minister of Nepal and the Nepalese people.
Ambassador Adhikari emphasized the strong ties between Nepal and Türkiye, noting that the relationship is based on mutual trust and cooperation and has always been friendly. He highlighted the collaboration between the two countries at the United Nations and other significant international forums on various issues of mutual interest. He committed to continuing his efforts to further enhance bilateral relations.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Turkish Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The occasion was marked by the playing of the national anthems of Nepal and Türkiye, and a guard of honor presented by a contingent of the Turkish Army.
The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad, which is concurrently accredited to Türkiye, handles diplomatic relations between Nepal and Türkiye, reinforcing the diplomatic bridge between the two nations.
