Ten Deceased Identified in Kapilvastu Bus Accident Tragedy
The devastating bus accident near Surahi Bridge of Shivraj Municipality-1 in Kapilvastu this morning has left ten individuals dead, their identities now disclosed to the public.
The deceased have been identified as Narayan Bahadur Bhandari from Rautahat, Arjun Kumar Yogi from Salyan, Sakil Muslim from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, Rahulram Kami, Umesh Bhandari, Sanju Thapa, Khageshwari Khati, and Sudeep Bhatta from Bhimdatta Municipality, Kina Bhatt, and Bimaladevi Bhatt from Punarwas Municipality.
The tragedy unfolded as a passenger bus (Su-Pa-Pra-02-001 Ba 0098) operated by Sunaulo Mahakali Transport veered off the road, plunging approximately 200 meters down the slope on its route from Mahendranagar to Kathmandu around 1:00 am.
Kapilvastu District Police Office reports confirm the loss of ten lives at the scene, with 30 others sustaining injuries. The identities of the remaining casualties are pending verification.
