Three Nepalis Lose Lives in Russia-Ukraine War

Three Nepali nationals who had joined the Russian army amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine have lost their lives. The Nepali Embassy in Russia confirmed the unfortunate incident, reporting that the individuals succumbed to the hostilities on November 15.

The fallen soldiers have been identified as Pritam Karki from Sayanja Putlibazar-5, Raj Kumar Rokka from Dolakha, Melung-6, and Ganga Raj Moktan from Ilam-5 of Illam. Their deaths mark a distressing development in the narrative of Nepalis participating in the conflict on the side of the Russian forces.

The Nepali Embassy, deeply saddened by the news, has urgently reached out to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In a letter, they have requested assistance in establishing contact with the families of the deceased for the swift and respectful management of their bodies. The embassy is making efforts to coordinate with the grieving families to provide support and guidance during this difficult time.

The revelation of Nepali individuals joining the Russian army had been circulating during the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
