Tibetan Parliamentary Delegation Concludes Periodical Visit to Nepal
A delegation from the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, comprising parliamentarians Lopon Thupten Gyaltsen and Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar, concluded their official periodical visit to Nepal, which took place from November 30 to December 13, 2024.
During their visit, the delegation engaged with the Tibetan community across various locations, including Kathmandu, Boudha, Jorpati, Phakshing, Jwalakhel Samdupling, and Phunling. They held discussions with Representative Tsepri Lopan Tulku Ngawang Chokdup and Tibetan Settlement Officers from multiple settlements, including Gyalsa Phakshing, Jwalakhel, Boudha, Jorpati, and Sha-Wa-Ra.
The parliamentarians also conducted inspection visits to schools and offices operating under the Tibetan settlements. They met with local dignitaries during a closed-door session and paid respects to monasteries and lamas in the region, reflecting their commitment to the welfare of Tibetan communities and the preservation of their cultural heritage.
The visit, part of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile’s ongoing efforts to connect with the diaspora, was successfully concluded on December 13, 2024.
