Tragic Accident Claims Seven Nepali Lives in Uttarakhand, India

In a devastating incident late Monday night, seven Nepali nationals lost their lives while two others sustained injuries after their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India.

The accident occurred around 10:30 pm near the Betalghat area, approximately 60 kilometers from Nainital. The victims, all residents of Mahendranagar in Nepal and employed as laborers in Uttarakhand, were on their way home when the tragedy unfolded.

Among the deceased are Vish Ram (50), Dheeraj (45), Anant Ram Chaudhary (40), Vinod Chaudhary (38), Uday Ram Chaudhary (55), Tilak Ram Chaudhary (45), and Gopal (60), along with the driver, Rajendra Kumar (38), a resident of Baskot village in Betalghat.

Two Nepali nationals, Shanti Chaudhary and Chhotu Chaudhary, sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which has left the Nepali community in shock and mourning.
