Tragic Death of Armed Police Constable in Dang Shooting; Suspect Apprehended
A somber atmosphere envelops Dang following the tragic death of Armed Police Constable Jugaru Choudhary in a shooting incident. Choudhary, stationed at Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-7, Hernia, succumbed to a fatal bullet injury, leading to shock and grief among the community.
The incident occurred as Choudhary, affiliated with Armed Police Force Nepal No. 28 at Battalion Headquarters Taulihawa, Kapilvastu, was on duty. The constable lost his life due to a gunshot wound.
Law enforcement swiftly took action, apprehending a 55-year-old suspect identified as Sher Bahadur KC from Ghorahi-5, Barlabot. KC was found in possession of a loaded gun and has been charged with the alleged murder of Constable Choudhary.
According to DSP Janak Malla, the tragic incident unfolded on Thursday while Choudhary was in the local public service community forest, picking leaves. During this time, Sher Bahadur KC, engaged in hunting, reportedly fired a shot that struck Choudhary in the chest, leading to the fatal outcome.
The local community is grappling with the loss of a dedicated armed police officer, and the arrest of the suspect provides a measure of closure to the grieving family and colleagues of Constable Choudhary.
