UAE Sets a 141-Run Target Against Nepal

In the ongoing Nepal Tri-Nation Twenty20 International Series, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has posted a challenging 141-run target against Nepal. The action unfolded at the picturesque Mulpani Cricket Ground on Wednesday.

UAE found themselves batting first after losing the toss and faced a strong challenge from Nepal’s bowling attack. Basil Hameed, the opener for UAE, played a pivotal role in securing a respectable score for his team, scoring a half-century. The visitors managed to accumulate a total of 140 runs, losing seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

UAE’s innings got off to a shaky start as opener Khalid Shah was dismissed without scoring any runs, falling prey to Nepal’s Rohit Paudel’s fielding skills off the bowling of Sompal Kami.

Alishan Sharafu was the next UAE player to depart, contributing only six runs off seven balls before being caught by Aasif Sheikh off Karan KC’s delivery in the 3.1 overs.

Captain Muhammad Wassem added 17 runs to the scoreboard, with a boundary and a six, before being caught by Kushal Bhurtel off Gulsan Jha’s bowling in 6.1 overs. Asif Khan also contributed 15 runs with two boundaries before being caught by Sundeep Jora in the 8.4 overs.

Ali Naseer played a crucial role for UAE, smashing three boundaries and a six to score 32 runs from 30 balls before being caught by Nepal’s captain, Rohit Paudel, off Karan KC’s bowling in 16.1 overs.

Basil Hameed was the top scorer for the UAE, notching up an impressive 51 runs off 38 deliveries, featuring four sixes before being caught by Aasif Sheikh in the 19.1 overs.

Nepal’s bowlers put up a commendable performance, with Karan KC leading the way by grabbing three wickets. Gulsan Jha also made an impact with two dismissals, while Sompal Kami and Abinash Bohara each took one wicket.
